Similar Products- Film Noir Openings

1. Touch of Evil
Some of the things I would like do in my Film Noir production are in "Touch of Evil". I would like to use the same style of music, in the opening the music was very 1940s like which is a big convention in film noir. Also I would like to use there type of clothes, men in suits and women in long dresses. The shots are also very good as for the majority of the opening scene is on big tracking shot which looks very good.


2. The Third Man
The opening scene for The Third Man is very different to other film noir openings. The whole scene is just credits not an actual scene to the film. This is an idea of something that I will not want to do as it doesnt really tell you anything about the film or show any film noir conventions.


3. Sunset Boulevard
In the opening to this film noir film there is a voice over for more or less the whole thing. This is something I would like to think about putting into my opening scene. As well as being able to see what is going on in the scene you can also hear it which I think can sometimes give a better understanding of the film.
